Welcome Knights of the Game Table, to our corner of the internet, where cardboard, dice, and a slightly unhealthy obsession with meeples come together. We’re a trio of longtime friends who believe that a good game “knight” is one of life’s great joys. Whether it’s strategy-heavy Euros, chaotic party games, or that weird Kickstarter title only one of us likes (looking at you, Derek), we play it all, and we have opinions.
Derek is the reviewer. He’s the one who insists on playing a game at least three times before giving a verdict. His write-ups are honest, thorough, and focused on what really matters at the table: how a game feels to play, how often it makes it back to the shelf, and whether it earns its place in your collection. He’s not afraid to call out hype, and he’s always chasing the next hidden gem.
Jordan writes our top 10s. He’s the one who can’t resist ranking everything, from “Games That Start Fights” to “Best Two-Player Showdowns.” Jordan’s lists are equal parts insight and entertainment, just don’t expect to agree with all of them. He loves a good debate and lives for the comment section.
Sam handles the how-to-play guides. He’s the rules explainer in our group, the one who reads the manual so you don’t have to. His tutorials break things down in plain language and focus on getting you playing fast without missing key mechanics. Whether you’re new to the hobby or just want a refresher, Sam’s guides are the place to start.
